Race relations on the improve in South Africa
Ipsos found that the majority of South Africans recently polled felt that relationships between the various race groups in South Africa are improving. This trend has continuously improved over the last few years and that the percentage of South Africans with a positive feeling far outweighs the prophets of gloom on this topic.

The Behavioral Economics of GDP Growth: Gallup Global Wellbeing
Gallup reveals its data of 155 countries on wellbeing. Gallup categorized the respondents into ‘thriving’, ‘struggling’ and ‘suffering’. It shows that majority of population from across the world are either struggling or suffering.
Gallup asks ordinary individuals for their thoughts and opinions on several topics, including economics, religion, migration, and wellbeing. Gallup’s data provide sound evidence on many issues that more than 98% of the world’s adult population faces.

Nigerians Condemn Detroit Attack Attempt and Are Also Concerned About Their President
Nigerians categorically condemned Umar Faruq for his alleged attempt to blow plane at Detroit. They also show high level of concern for the absence of President from the country for such a long period and perceive this will have dire consequences for the administration in the country.

Arab League Countries' Views of U.S. Leadership Up in 2009
Approval ratings of U.S. leadership increased in 10 of 12 Arab League countries that Gallup surveyed twice in 2009. Between the first survey period from February to March and the second survey period from July to October, U.S. leadership enjoyed the highest approval jump in Bahrain (33 percentage points), Mauritania (22 points), Kuwait (19 points), and Comoros (15 points).

Trust, Confidence Key Issues for Zimbabwe Government
When Gallup asked Zimbabweans in July 2009 what they believed was the biggest obstacle for their power-sharing government to overcome, nearly 4 in 10 (39%) spontaneously mentioned a lack of trust and confidence. More than one in five (22%) cited a lack of political will to implement reforms, and a similar proportion (19%) cited refusals by the president and prime minister to work together. It is that last problem, however, that best characterizes Zimbabwe's political situation since the coalition government formed in February.
